July 2011

We spent the end of June and the beginning of July in Park city.  I stayed with the girls after we did the Ragnar while Brad went to Hanford to work and then he joined us for the 4th of July and Hillary and Stephens spontaneous early wedding.

At the PC parade.  I honestly couldn't believe how crowed it was.  I still remember as a kid riding my bike covered in streamers down the parade.  It used to be such a local thing and small.  It was still fun.
In celebration of my Grandma's 90th birthday my Grandma, and all her kids, most of their spouses and some of the grandkids all came to Park City. This is my Uncle Johnny taking a nap during the parade.  He looked so uncomfortable, I couldn't believe he could sleep that way.
My dad's sister Linda enjoying the parade.
Hillary and Stephen enduring their last few days single.
Laela and grandma sad about something.

My Aunt Linda is an artist and she got her grand nieces and nephews together and they made this art piece with her.  It is pretty awesome.

Hillary and Stephen were planning on getting married in September in NYC but Stephens Grandma wouldn't have been able to be there and apartment leases were changing and it made sense to them to just get married in Utah after the 4th of july while everyone was already in town.  It was a super rush to get things put together.  I simple family party turned into much more as many people spent days setting up and really amazing setting in a family alfalfa field for their party. While we were all in the Manti Temple a huge rain/wind storm came through and really destroyed everything.  Everyone went to the site and amazingly put it all back together and the sun came out and it turned out to be one of the most beautiful evenings ever!  There was even a beautiful rainbow.

The next day, as we were driving home we stopped in a small town outside of Manti to see an amazing house the belonged to my sister in laws Aunt.  They bought an old home that had not been taken care of and completely restored it to its original era but make it even better and amazing.  It was so neat to see.

This is just the quest house on the property.  I guess we didn't get a good shot of the main house.

This is a great idea for a play house.  Eventually the vines will grow up and over it.
Their amazing barn.

Awesome catch-up. There are some great photos of the kids at the Manti Temple that I haven't seen...love 'em (kids and photos).

The picture of the kids running with the temple in the background is amazing! You should blow that up and print it. You must be exhausted after blogging all day. Hope you had a Happy Birthday - sorry I couldn't make your party.
