A bit if this and a bit of that

Well it is time for a new blog but I really don't have much to blog about so I will do a little Terry family catch up.

Brad is in Canada this week. He and a friend took off this morning for a little guy time. They are driving up to trough Glacier to Waterton, Alberta for some backpacking, road biking and fishing. I must say that I have been a little worried since they are going into bear country. Brad's friend is from there and he knows all these back country places to go to that are actually places where hikers are not aloud to go. I don't really know why. They told me it was because they are worried about it being disturbed by hikers and backpackers but I think they were lying and the real reason is because of bears. On one hike they are going on Wade has been "treed" by bears three times. Bears are not the only fear however, cliffs are also a fear. On a hike they are going on three people have died recently from falling off the cliff. Oh well, worrying will do nothing. I have been having really bad stomach pains the past couple of days that I have not had since high school. Those pains have been thought to be related to stress and worry and so it would make sense why I am getting them now but it does no good. I am sure everything will be fine and Brad and Wade will have a great safe trip. I am sure they will bring some amazing picture back with them so that will be a nice blog. Ayden had her three year check up today. She weighs 27 lbs and it 2'11" tall. Still in the 10-15th percentile. But her BMI says that her weight is proportionate to her height so that is good. Ayden got one shot today and Alex had to play catch up and she got 4 shots today. The doctor has this awesome thing called a shotblocker and if you don't know about it you should tell your pediatrician about them or buy one and bring it with you and make them use it. I guess they are kind of a new thing and it has these pokey things on the back and you push that up against their leg or arm and then put the shot in the middle of it and it is supposed to be painless. I was holding Ayden and we were looking at a fake fish tank while the nurse was giving her the shot and Ayden seriously had NO clue she got a shot. Ayden thought it was pretty cool and told everyone today that she got a shot but it didn't hurt. The nurse said that when you get multiple ones in the same area like Alex did it is hard to make them all not hurt. So Alex cried a little but way less then a baby normally would. So anyway, click it out.

So this is totally gross but I was blog hopping earlier because I wasn't doing anything more important with my time and I came across a friend of a friend of a friends blog who had these pictures on her blog that totally caught my eye so I thought you would all like to see them too.

That is a picture of a camel spider found in Iraq and a picture of a soldier in Iraq who got bit. Maybe you have all gotten the emails with a ton of false stories and myths about them, but I never have so I did not know anything about them before. Although the myths going around are much scarier then the real thing I still think the true things about these spiders are freakin SCARY! I will have to ask my brother-in-law who served in Iraq if he ever saw one.
Some common Camel Spider Myths:

1. Camel spiders can move at speeds over 30 MPH, screaming while they run.
2. Camel spiders can be as large as a frisbee.
3. Camel spiders venom is an anesthetic that numbs their prey.
4. Camel spiders can jump three feet high.
5. Camel spiders get there name because they eat the stomachs of camels.
6. Send us your myths for inclusion here...

THE FACTS

1. Camel spiders top speed - 10 mph.

2. Size: Up to 6 inches (isn't that the size of a small Frisbee?)

3. They have no venom.

4. They don't jump.

5. Called camel spiders because they live in the

desert.

They actually aren't spiders at all, they're solpugids.. Along with spiders, they are members of the class Arachnida.

Okay, so here are some nicer images to leave in your head instead of that yucky spider. They are some pictures of Ayden at a princess party she went to the other day. I took them off my friends blog so I am not sure why some are smaller. Ayden is starting to like princesses quit a bit since ALL of her friends are obsessed with them.

Ayden with the birthday girl Maddie
I guess Ayden won the put the lips on Snow White game.

Some other news:

-We have had a great summer so far. We have floated the river, spent a lot of time at the pool and splash parks, we went to Eagle Island which is a river beach and we have some fun camping trips planned.
-We have been busy starting my business. As far as Idaho is concerned I am a business and I am finishing up all of the stinking paper work that is required and waiting for my loan so I can buy my equipment. Brad and I have begun organizing the garage so that I will have some space and we painted it. Hillary is working on my logo and things are just moving along. It takes some time and I cannot wait to get going.
-My poor Mom broke her arm!! It is so sad and Ayden prays for her every night. I hope she recovers soon. For someone like my mom who is always on the go I am sure she will have a hard time being limited.
-My sister in law and brother are going to have a baby any day and I cannot wait. I am really excited. I am sure she will be adorable and I can't wait to hear this name they are keeping secret until she is born!!
-We are going to burley for the 4th of July weekend. We will be camping part of it and I am sure we will have great food and spend lots of time on the river.

Here are a few random pics:

Ayden and our friend Max at Eagle Island

Brad and Alex at Eagle Island

Me at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas while I was there for my framing class. Unfortunately the ONLY picture I took there. UGG!
This is a from a girls night out we had last Friday at the Cheesecake Factory and then we went shopping at the mall. It is kind of fuzzy for some reason, sorry. I have the most amazing friends here and I am so grateful for that. One of my best friends is moving and is having a hard time with other things too so we just took her out for a whole night of fun. It is going to be SO hard when she moves. I am just pretending it is not really happening, I guess I will be way shocked when it actually happens. Until then, it is just easier this way. :(

Well I hope this wasn't too random or boring for those of you who actually got this far down in the blog. I guess I lied at the beginning, I had TONS to blog about just nothing important or interesting to blog about. Well, I hope you all have a wonderful night or day which ever applies to you as you read this!

HELP!!!!

I am back from Vegas and ready to start my business. I am so excited to get this going and I really think it is going to be fun and profitable. However I need help with a name. I am having a hard time coming up with something. So I am asking you all to try and come up with something and leave it in the comment box or email me @ jenniterry@hotmail.com. PLEASE!!! I can't really start doing on the legal stuff or get the ball rolling with out it. It can have anything to do with my name and it should incorporate Professional Picture Framing too so people know what it is that I do. So all you creative minds please help me out.

Some that I have been thinking of are:

Framing Jenni
Professional Custom Picture Framing

Professional Custom Picture Framing by Jenni

I've been Framed!
Professional Custom Picture Framing
(this one is used a lot but not in my area)

Let me know what you think of those too!!!
Thank You!

I'm Off to Vegas Baby!

I leave for Vegas tomorrow morning to learn how to professionally picture frame/mat. I have been wanting to do this for over a year now and thanks to Brad, my parents and amazing friends it is actually happening. Four of my really great friends are taking turns taking the girls in the mornings so Brad can at least work half days. I also get to stay with a great friend from high school in Las Vegas, it will be great to see her and it is so nice to be able to save some money. I am so exited to learn a new skill and be able to start a business out of my garage that I can do on my own time so I can continue to be a stay at home mom. Today as I am getting ready to go I am just so grateful for people in my life who support me and who are making my dreams possible! THANKS!
So if any of you want some framing done for a fraction of the price then hold on to them and save them for me!

Logan 27th ward Reunion

While we were in Utah for Memorial Day we also had a great time at a little USU 27th ward reunion. It was so fun to catch up with everybody and get to see all their kids. Most of them were just babies when we moved and some of them were born after we left so it was fun meeting them. There were a lot of people missing but we are going to try and do this every year so hopefully it can just keep growing. Thanks Jo for planing it and also for all these pictures (we didn't take any so I stole them off her blog).
