Family Pictures

Today, before church, we decided to try and get some family pictures and some one year pictures for Alex. The girls looked really cute in their Easter Dresses from Grandma Kay (thanks Mom!!!) and so we thought it would be good to do some pictures. One of my best friends, Kim, was sweet enough to offer her talent and take some pictures. Unfortunately the girls did not act as cute as they looked. It was really hard to get them to smile and Alex would not look at the camera because she was too busy looking at the waterfalls, dirt and plants all around her and Ayden was just being a grump. I was really surprised some of the pictures actually turned out. Some of these I just threw in for a laugh.

This is how most of the pictures of Alex looked. She had this squinty look going on. I don't really know why because it was not very sunny at all.
I think this one is cute, this is a good picture because if you have been around Alex lately she was probably in this exact position. It is so frustrating because she does not walk alone yet but ALL she wants to do is walk around holding someones fingers. Once you let go she won't even attempt to walk on her own, she will just throw herself to the ground.Cute little side shot
This is how she was most of the time, but I think this picture is so adorable!
One of the few that she is not crying or squinting.

The Family Pictures- which one do you like?
There we 100 pictures but not too many to choose from, ha ha.

I just put this next one on because I liked Ayden's cheesy grin, but Alex is just looking at the dirt.
And this one, I just got a kick out of Alex's face.
We looked over and saw Cassi and Ayden playing and I think these pictures are really cute. Cassi is one of Kim's little girls and she and Ayden used to fight like crazy and we always thought that one day they would be friends. Lately they have played really great together and it has been really nice. This is just a picture capturing their friendship changing!! Hooray!

We Love the Zoo!

We had a fun and busy weekend. We spend parts of Thursday and Friday with Brad's brother Travis's family who was in Boise for a couple of days for spring break and then parts of Saturday and Sunday with our Brother-in-law's Dana and Jeremiah. In between all of that we went for a drive in the mountains, did some yard work, went to the zoo and I ran 13 miles with some friends. It feels like we all had a fun filled, productive weekend. We only have some pictures of the zoo. It seems like we go to the zoo a lot. We must feel at home there, I don't know.
I will try to blog some more but it seems like since the weather is warming up I find myself near the computer a whole lot less. However, warm weather is a great thing. WHOO HOO!!!!

My Celebrity Look-alikes

I saw this on a James and Dede's blog and thought it looked fun. We had fun doing it and it proved that Brad really does look like Mark Ruffalo, which we have been saying for years. I also did one of my neighbor who looks like Scarlet Johansen and it said she looked like her too so this really might be true. Now if only I really looked like Adriana Karembeu, whoever she is.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY ALEX!!!!

Alex turns one today! She is such a special baby and the past year has truly been pure joy with her. She brings a smile to our face constantly. She is very easy going and good natured. As Grandpa Bill once said, her face is kindness. We can't wait for all the coming years of smiles she has to bring us. We love our Alex.

(we had a joint birthday party for her last Saturday and we will have a little family one tonight so more pictures will come shortly)
