One of my Christmas gifts from Brad this year was a pizza stone. I really wanted one and I was so excited to get it. I have been told how much better they make pizza but I didn't really think I made pizza enough to justify buying one until recently after having a bunch of homemade pizza flops. I used it for the first time today and it made the best pizza! The crust was perfect and it made the pizza so good. I threw on some ingredients that I had and I ended up really liking it. Here is the recipe in case anyone wants to try it out but I must say it will only be good if you use a pizza stone. If you don't already have one I highly recommend getting one.
Prosciutto and Artichoke White Pizza
3-4 canned artichoke hearts chopped
1/8 pound of prosciutto ham torn into pieces
6-7 small slices of brie cheese
8 oz or less shredded mozzarella cheese
olive oil
thyme
garlic salt
Preheat oven to 500 degrees with pizza stone in the oven for about 20-25 minutes.
Roll out your favorite pizza dough and pour 1-2 table spoons of olive oil on dough. Spread it around and sprinkle a little but of garlic salt on it (fresh pressed garlic would be even better). Sprinkle a little more then half of the cheese on pizza. Put the rest of the ingredients on and then top with the rest of the cheese and a little bit of thyme. Some parmesan reggiano would also be really good to sprinkle on the top.
Turn oven down to 475 degrees and sprinkle corn meal onto the stone. Place pizza (or slide pizza) onto your pizza stone and cook for 10 minutes.

I am going to comment about your plethora of recent posts. I often just skim long posts, but for some reason I love reading all of yours word for word! Your NY trip looked fabulous. Your sister and Mom are both gorgeous and her boyfriend (your sister's!) is adorable. Brad did a great job in the daddy department while you were gone. Christmas looks like a party with your family. I love the costumes. I also love the story about Ayden telling the babysitter to take some candy out of the good jar. She is too smart. And thanks for the pizza tips. The recipe sounds really yummy. I don't yet own a pizza stone, so why don't we plan a time for you to bring your pizza stone to my house and we'll make some delicious concoctions. Name the time and I'll be there...I guess I'll have to be because it's my house!
We received a pizza stone for our wedding. I didn't really know what it was or what to do with it, so I gave it to my Mom. Now I want it back! She said I could have it, but that's kind of rude, huh? I do make a really yummy BBQ chicken pizza. Yours look great!
MMMMM...this was so good, thanks for sharing some with us!
Hey Jenni! a HUGE CONGRATS on your stone, I am happy for you! I feel like a major dork right now, but I love my stone and I really am so glad you have one! I use it for everything, even cookies and it is great for focaccia bread! Your pizza recipe sounds great, I will try it out as soon as I have a kitchen again!
