Easter 2012

We did a poor job with pictures and didn't get a single one of the easter baskets or the egg hunt or a family picture but at least Brad took a couple of the girls while I was finishing getting ready for church.  We had a really lovely Easter.  The weather couldn't have been better.  All the speakers and instructors did an amazing job at church and I felt close to my Savior and grateful for the atonement and how it pertains personally to me.  The power of the atonement is something that I didn't really understand as a child or even a teen/young adult and I know I do not fully understand it now but when life experiences happen and you go through things that were either caused by your bad choices, loved ones bad choices or just the pains and struggles of life you have the sweet gift of experiencing the healing powers of the atonement.  It is the only way I have been forgiven of my own sins, been able to forgive myself and others of theirs and feel the comfort and love I have needed through trials.  It is real and I cannot imagine my life without it.  I am sure as I continue through the experience of life I will come to understand it even more.  It makes hard things better in the end and the reason people say they are better for the trials and tribulations they have gone through.  Without the atonement all of those things would be for nothing but we are able to grow and become more like Christ because of it. What a blessing.
