We were lucky to have a visit from Kayce and her kiddos, Axel, Lulu and Eleanor in June. They had been spending time in Utah while their house remodel was finishing up and decided to drive to Boise to spend a couple of days with us. We had such a great time and the kids really enjoyed their cousins. They all get along so well we were really glad Kayce was able to come see us. We don't get to see them often enough.
We went to the Meridian Dairy Days Parade. They really enjoyed the free dairy products and t-shirts. There isn't much more in this parade then advertising and cars but the kids still enjoyed it.
We met up with the Matthews at the parade and Laela and Porter were just too cute.
We went on a little hike Saturday. The kids were all pretending they were porcupines with the branches. Laela cracked me up because she had a little one but made sure she kept it on her bum so she was a porcupine like the other kids.
Alex found a lizard on the hike and the lizard hung out with her the entire time we were picnicking. It stayed very still on her hand and never attempted to leave. Alex thought it was because he liked her but I am pretty sure it was some kind of survival instinct. She cried when I told her she needed to let it go.
Alex is still crying because she had to let the lizard go and wouldn't look at the camera in protest.
Before they left we tried to get some pictures. It wasn't very easy to begin with and then Laela got stung by a wasp on her butt and so it made it even harder after that.
Gotta love Lulu's roll glasses!
