Soccer

Ayden has been playing soccer this spring. She is really enjoying it. It was hard to believe I would be able to say that after the first game however. It was the day after we brought Laela home from the hospital which may have something to do with it but she came home in tears and Brad came home furious. I guess Ayden refused to play and threw a big fit in front of everyone. After Brad and I had a lot of talks with her she has done great since. The coach said you wouldn't believe it was the same girl. She is having fun now and that is what matters but she is also really good. I hope she continues to enjoy it because I can see some soccer potential with her. She is a really fast runner and has some good control of the ball. This last game she made two goals and with one of them she even dribbled around an opposing player and then kicked it in the goal. We are really proud of her for changing her attitude and having fun.

I can't find any pictures of her during the actual game but here she is kicking the ball during practice.

Go green turtles!

I bet she is a great soccer player. My Kelton had the same kind of experience. I think Brent wanted to kill him. He actually never recovered, so good job Ayden!!

I think Sidney, my sisters oldest girl, had a hard time with her first soccer game as well. She kept wanting to pick up the ball! I'm glad to hear life is keeping you busy!
