LAELA JOYCE TERRY

LAELA JOYCE TERRY
Weight : 7 lbs 6 oz
Length: 19-3/4 inches
Date of Birth: 02 April 2009
Time of Birth: 1:08 pm
Location: Boise, Idaho
Health: Great
Beauty: Extreme
Ability to melt hearts: Dangerous

That's all of the official baby statistics I have. Jenni and I are very excited to have Laela in our family. She is apparently a daddy's girl though she loves her mom very much. Because people want to see pictures I had to pull myself away from her for a couple of hours.

Let me just say this: Jenni is one tough woman. Anyone who can go through that ordeal and come out smiling, glowing and complety happy is beyond strong. It got pretty rough in the transition period and was touch and go for me but luckily my strong wife pulled us through. Jenni, you are amazing babe.

Sleeping like a baby. Is that where that came from? I always thought it meant people who pee and poop the bed and sleep in cribs.

This moments after giving birth. As many of you know Jenni has low platelets and is a high risk patient for hemorrhaging. Fortunately the IVIG treatments Jenni received earlier this week worked enough to put the doctors at ease but not enough to have the option for an epidural. Jenni always wanted to give natural birth and unfortnatly for her she got her wish because she doesn't have the option. It was funny hearing babies in the adjacent rooms being born and the first thing you would hear was the baby crying. I have to admit that the Jenni's recovery is worth the pain (easy for me to say).

Proud mom and dad.

My beautiful girls. Ayden and Alex are super happy big sisters.

Our first family picture.

It was great to have Kay (Jenni's mom) here to take care of the girls while we were in the hospital. Thank you kay for all of your help.

Everytime I walk in the hospital room, this is what I find. It's hard to put the girl down. I am sure Jenni will post her experience soon. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers; they were answered.

It is absolutely awful being here at home while all this excitement has been going on. I am so grateful for the miracle of modern medicine that allows these three girls to come into the world and to still have their momma! Jenni, you are awesome and I love you,
Dad

Jenni you are my idol. Not in a rock star kind of way, but in a the real way. And Laela is so gorgeous. I want to eat her up. I am excited and nervous to hear the details because then I will know what you truly had to go through! Great job. You have a beautiful family.
