Today's grateful post isn't a very traditional one but I am grateful for the cute brown and white lonesome cow who lives off of Ten mile right before you get to Franklyn. There is something about this cow that makes me smile. When I drive by and see him I really get a happy feeling and can't help but let out a little giggle. I am really not sure what it is about this particular cow since I see cows everywhere that don't give me the same reaction. I think it might have something to do with the fact that he doesn't seem like a very typical cow. I have seen him head butting a telephone pole, running around chasing his back side and galloping across the field. He just seems like he has some personality. So thank you Mr. Cow for making me smile!

I think you have a cow fetish. Ha! No I can tell that a pretty cool cow. You should start a blog called "the small things." And you can list all the small things you are thankful for that people don't always think about. And you even have people submit theirs. I am so smart.
I am grateful to you for being grateful for a cow. I grew up milking a cow nearly everyday of high school, and even though I am not a milk drinker, I grew to love that cow. Her name was Toto, named after the dog from Wizard of Oz, because we moved here from Kansas. I have to admit that I didn't always love her, especially after I was out late and had to get up at the crack of dawn because her bag was full!! I'm sure when I pushed that snooze button a few extra times she felt what nursing women call engorgement! But I usually cheered up quickly because it gave me a reason to see the sunrise.
Oh he is pretty cute!!!
You do realize someone is gonna eat him right!!!
Totally kidding!!!
Have you given him a name...or just 'mr.cow'?
Your post cracked me up. I can relate with you and the cows. I get made fun of whenever I comment about the cows, and how I feel bad for them when it is freezing outside.
When I first read "I am grateful for my cow" I was thinking that you owned that cow and were about to eat her! I am glad you are not going to eat her and are just appreciating her personality! By the way your little Ayden(I think I am spelling her name wrong) is adorable! She is so cute in our class and so smart! I just can't get enough of her!
I love it!! You made me laugh about the cow. And it is great to be grateful for the small things, like today I am grateful for the blue skies and the warmer temperatures!!
Love ya, mom
i would love to see that cow in action...sounds really funny! i have to admit when i heard "i'm grateful for my cow" i thought you were going to talk about the meat in your freezer!! we're getting a butchered cow here in a few days and i too will be "grateful for my cow"! i hope your cow will be there for you for many years to come, however, if someone decides to turn him into meat you just pick yourself up and go find yourself another cow to laugh at:) i agree with hillary, thanks for enjoying the simple things in life. today i'm going to look for a cow doing silly things and enjoy every minute of it! by the way we really miss hanging out with you guys!
I enjoyed this post about the cow! I love to wave to animals when I drive by them. People think I'm a nut but I think sometimes they notice and then wonder about it. It's hilarious. Thanks for making me smile! I think that cow is cute and sounds very funny!
Eric would want you to know that it is probably a Power pole and not a Telephone pole :)
