I just wanted to spread the word about a great place to buy your Christmas Tree this year to all my blogging friends in Meridian if you have not already done so. I noticed a tree lot really close to our house on Ten Mile across from Bridgetower's main entrance the other day when I was coming home from the store. I decided we should check it out since it was so close so we went there tonight for family home evening. It turned out to be a really great place to buy it because it is a fund raiser for the Make a Wish Foundation. It is just a family who decided they wanted to teach their son the true meaning of Christmas by starting this tradition. All of the trees were grown here in Idaho and were donated by Precision Plumbing (the company he owns or works for, I am not sure) so all of your money goes to the foundation. It turned into a really neat teaching opportunity for Ayden and so I just wanted to pass along the info. They have 8 ft and 7 ft trees for $45 and $55. I really can't remember what we paid last year for our tree, it might be a little bit more but it is for a great cause.

Maybe someday I'll want a real tree, but for now...not so much. That's awesome that it supports such a great cause. It's fun that Ayden is old enough to start to understand those kinds of things. Now you just have to get it decorated! (me too!)
That's an awesome idea, so good of you to pass on that information. I just got caught up on your blog from the last couple of weeks, and I have to say my favorite is your post about your two girls. Only a mother could remember and cherish all those little things that make your kids so special. I also want to tell you that I completely understand how hard it is to have an EXTREMELY fussy baby. Chase sounds exactly like Ayden as a baby. I don't think you can fully understand the meaning of a hard baby until you have one of your own. Do you mind me asking what reflux medicine she took? They put Chase on Prevacid last month and I am hoping like HELL it works!!!!! I love him, but I'm at my wit's end. Anything to get a little relief is sooo worth it. I laughed when I read about your 2 am drives and sleeping in the car.....desperate times, desperate measures!!
we have an artificial tree because it's too hot in vegas to have a real one. well, not really, but they last longer if they are fake. i did tell matt this year that I want a real one again because that's what I grew up with, but i don't think i'm going to be getting one! maybe next year!
Nicole,
I am so sorry that Chase is an extremely fussy baby too. It can seriously be so hard and I totally understand that you are at your wit's end. There really is nothing harder in my mind. Hang in there though, at the time it feels like it will never end but it will and you will make it through it. The medicine Ayden took was Nexium. At first it was hard for me to tell if it worked but I think it just took a few months for her esophagus to heal and then the fussiness just disappeared. I hope something works for you guys! Hang in there.
That's awesome about the tree lot.. Too bad we're big fat lame-o's and have a fake tree :) Maybe this year I can convice Todd to go the real route.
You just missed me. Costco and their fake trees were calling out my name and I finally gave in. Great bread. Thanks for letting me steal it right out from under you. If you don't mind I'd like to be included in the next order. Don't you like how I just finangled (sp?) my way into your bread world?
I got my fake tree up and runnin' already. I would love a real one just for the smell but REFUSE to bend over to water the dumb thing.
Thanks for the words of encouragment! I agree that there is nothing harder. I'm thinking things will get better within the next month. The doc says most cases like this are tons better by 4 months. We'll keep you posted. Thanks again.
i love having a live christmas tree, but i swear it drinks two gallons a day. your tree is very delicate looking. so pretty.
