Red Fish Lake

Brad and I decided to venture out a little bit and try camping with the girls. We did not know how it would go but thought we would give it a try and it turned out to be a blast. We went with our friends and their three kids.
They were a lot of fun. We had a great time just hanging around the campsite, swimming and rafting in the lake, hiking and eating. All of the kids did very well. We managed to wear them out enough during the day that they all slept very well. We had so much fun that we decided to make it a yearly tradition.( I know, I am making a really ugly face. I don't know why I put this picture on but I cannot take it off with out deleting all of the pictures and I don't want to download them all again. )
This is a picture of my friend Elizabeth and me with Alex, Nicki and Ayden hanging out at our camp site. You can also see River in the back.

Ayden throwing rocks into a river while we are on a hike. What kid doesn't like throwing rocks into water?
Brad and Wade about to throw themselves into the freezing water of Red Fish lake. They were both pretty desperate for a bath.

Dirty Ayden.

This picture was actually taken about five minutes after we arrived at the campsite. It just went down hill from there.

We hiked to the this meadow for the view of the beautiful mountains. After almost three miles of carrying Alex in the front pack the right way I decided to try it on my back on the way down to see if it would give me some relief. I liked it better and it seemed like Alex did too...

Alex fell asleep and slept the whole way down. The bouncy ride did not seem to bother her. Ayden slept a lot of the way too.
