It is hard to believe I have a child in kindergarten. In some ways it is not though. Ayden is so ready for school so it seems right. I just remember that we bought the house we live in when Ayden was 9 months old and I never in a million years thought she would be going to school when we lived here. I just didn't envision us here that long plus it just seemed so far into the future that it was hard to imagine. But the day has come and she is loving it. Ayden told me that she liked every part of kindergarten and came home very happy. Alex had her first day of preschool and she loved it too. When I picked Alex up from school she said "mom, you're the best for letting me go to preschool". She was also very excited to find out that she gets to go again.

Ayden has been really excited about riding the bus to school but the night before her first day I found out that her friends mom and dad were going to drive her to school on the first day so I thought Ayden would change her mind but when I asked her if she still wanted to ride the bus she said yeah like I was even silly for asking. She ran right on without any hesitation.

I got choked up when she blew me kisses from the window. I thought I would be fine but it is pretty emotional seeing your little baby all grown up.

We wanted to make sure she found her class alright so we followed the bus to school and met her when she got off. When I first told her that we were going to do that she once again looked at my like I was silly and said "why?" She sure looked happy to see us there though. It kind of broke my heart when she said "no one sat by me mom but that's ok".

Practicing her hopscotch skills.

This is Laela wondering what all the fuss was about!

Crazy - time really does fly. Your girls are so cute. I will probably be sad when Xander goes to school the first time but right now I'm just really looking forward to it and it seems too far away.
I love that little Ayden! Soon everyone will be fighting over a seat by Ayden! It does break your heart.
Oh wow, she is so grown up! What a cutie. I am glad she had a great first day :)
Those girls are so cute!! Glad the first day went so well for the both of them!! Madi loves Kindergarten too! That's nice you get some alone time with your little one!!!
Your girls are growing up way too fast. They're so cute.
Oh, that picture of Ayden in the school bus window is a tearjerker, indeed! What an independent little thing she is. :) Glad you survived the first day, too... I think it's harder for the mom than the kindergartner.
Your girls are SO beautiful! I can't believe you have one in school as well. It makes me want to cherish the moments even more because they grow up so fast.
I love the picture of her running to the bus. Reminder her when she is a senior in High School as sick of school! Cute!
Oh my goodness, she is so beautiful and all grown up!
I can't believe you have a kid in kindergarten either! I got choked up walking Jacob to preschool, so I can only imagine what you felt like watching her get on the bus to go to the real deal. I am glad she is liking it. Glad to see you all doing well!
