A Thought Before the Election

It's hard to think that what President Ezra Taft Benson said in the 60's appears to be coming true.

On another note, we highly recommend watching the documentary by Ben Stein called "Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed" It was an eye-opener. We had a deep discussion last night before going to bed about the dangers of godlessness. Darwinism, communism, attack on the family and marriage, etc. We honestly feel that no matter what the outcome of this political election is, the number one priority in our lives remains the same; family and church. This doesn't mean we are going to sit back and not defend our freedoms. It is our duty to stand up for freedom, our rights to live our lives in peace and prosperity and worship our God as we see fit. God speed freinds, go vote!!!

That is really scary. This election has definitely gotten me biting my fingernails. I'm really worried about our future (and especially after listening to that)!!!

I like what Benson said about fighting for the freedom of people and our children as long as we live. I am done being given small dosages of socialism.

We are at a crossroad and it happened even before Obama was elected. While I am in favor of government intervention in the financial institutions that our economy depend upon, there is a grave danger that government will be too involved and stay too long. Regulation was not in place when it should have been. Because of that, gross measures are needed to get our financial ship back afloat, but as soon as faith and good principles are back in place, the government needs o step aside and return to its role as umpire.
