It is kind of a sad day at the Terry house today because my parents and my sister, Hillary, just left us this morning. We had such a wonderful, fun filled weekend so it is hard to get back to boring life. We hadn't seen Hillary since Christmas so it was really great to spend time with her and of course we love seeing my parents as often as possible. It was really nice for me to have other people around to help entertain the girls, take them in and out of the car, put them to bed and answer all their little questions. Ayden chased them down the road waving goodbye with a big smile on her face and then when she turned back around towards me I watched the smile disappear and the big tears appear. As hard as it was to see her so sad it is so nice that she has such a great relationship with her grandparents and her aunt. I love that the girls have great family on both sides that love them and will always be in their lives with support and friendship. Anyway, on to the weekend:
They arrived Thursday evening and of course spent lots of time enjoying all the gifts Grandma brought them in her Grandma bag. Thanks Mom!
Friday we woke up and hung around. My dad, Hillary and I went on a run and it was fun to be able to have such great running companions but it was kind of a let down that my 59 year old dad can kick my butt. Then we all got ready to go swimming but had a birthday party for Hillary first. Happy Birthday Hill!

and then walked to the fountain and hung around a little bit. My parents were sweet enough to take the girls home and put them to bed while Brad, Hillary and I went to see one of our favorite bands, The Avett Brothers, at the Knitting Factory (formerly the big easy).
It was the most unbelievable concert and we were right up to the stage. I loved them, they had so much energy it was amazing. I have never enjoyed a concert more. Before the concert they were already one of our favorite bands and we listened to their songs a lot and Brad played their songs on the guitar while we all sung along (including ayden) but after seeing them in concert I love them even more . I recommend you check them out.
On our way to the car we were a little hyped up so we did some jump shots and played around in the grass some.

Saterday we floated the Boise River. It was also a lot of fun. The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed the lazy float.

After the float we enjoyed a nice picnic at the park.
That evening we went to the cheesecake factory for dinner and then had fun shopping at the mall where the girls were very spoiled by their grandparents! Thanks Mom and Dad! Our evenings were also filled with game playing, watching the Olympics and laughing.

Thanks so much, Mom, Dad and Hillary for coming up to spend time with us! We had a really great time with you. It was also nice because they did most of the cooking and cleaning while they were here so they are either the perfect house guests, or I am just a bad hostess, but either way thanks for such a great time.

So fun!!! You really have such a great family!!! Your girls are gonna be pretty bored for the next few days!!! And sounds like you will too!!! You guys packed in a lot of fun stuff in a few short days!!!
Isn't it so fun to see your kids love your family? Now that I said that, I must say that all your jumping photos are mighty impressive...wow!
I think we have really similar interests, because that is exactly how I would spend a weekend with my family if they came in town (except that they already live here!) Your mom and sister seem great - really down to earth and kind. And I hope Steve and I can be in as great of shape as your parents when we have grandkids. Is your dad a gazelle too? You'll have to keep me posted on when that band plays again in Boise. I would love to check them out.
Thank you for a wonderful weekend! I think you are a fabulous host.
I miss you all already and wish I was still there chilling with you guys. I want to play library again and again!
I love the jumping pictures! Those rock! Looks like you guys had a lot fun together. I hope I didn't scare your mom telling her I feel like I've met her before because of your blog! Anyways, now it's time for normal life again...bah hum bug!
Your family seems really great... how nice to be able to have such a fun weekend with them!
