A visit from Mom

We had a great time last weekend with a visit from my mom. She surprised us with a quick yet very fun filled weekend. She flew in last Sunday morning and my brother, Taylor, my sister-in-law, Kayce and my Uncle Keith came and spent the day with us also. We had a good time hanging out and watching conference. After conference we went to La Jolla cove to see the harbor seals (I previously called them sea lions OOPS) while our pot roast dinner cooked. This is a picture of us about to eat the scrumptious meal my Mom and Taylor made us. Cousins, Axel and Ayden, getting a bath after running around La Jolla Cove. They look like they could be siblings huh?
Grandma, Ayden and Alex. If Grandma is around Ayden has to be right with her. They have always had a special little bond. I guess that bond could be because they share a common enemy. Could that be me? Naww.
We also went to L.A while my Mom was here to spend some time with Taylor and Kayce in their new stomping ground. We got to see their fun and funky new apartment and Taylor's new office building. Kayce, Axel, Mom, the girls and I got to go shopping at some fun shopping malls and the L.A farmers market. We also met up with Taylor for lunch at one of the nicest food courts you could imagine. That mall also had an AMAZING "family room." It was basically a bathroom just for families. The bathroom portion of it had a miniature toilet for toddlers and little kids and the rest of it was a big room with about 4 diaper changing stations with toys hanging from the ceiling, little areas for breast feeding, a bottle warmer, a microwave, tons of toys, a little table with chairs and cute artwork on the walls. On the counters there were baskets full of free pacifires, bibs, rattles and sippy cups. It was pretty amazing. I think that all malls need to adopt this concept.
